This website, tylerkoeller.com, is operated by Tyler Koeller, REALTOR®, a salesperson with Re/Max Premier Inc. Brokerage International ("I", "me", "my"). I respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and the rules that apply to Ontario real estate professionals.

This policy explains what personal information I collect through this website, why, how it is used and protected, and the choices you have.

1. Information I collect

Information you give me

  • Contact and enquiry forms (for example "Get in Touch", consultations and home evaluations): your name, email address, phone number, whether you are looking to buy, sell or lease, and anything you write in your message.
  • Listing search accounts and saved searches: if you register on the site to save listings or receive listing alerts, your name, email address, password and search preferences.
  • Newsletter sign-ups: your name and email address, and the date and way you gave consent.
  • Emails, calls and texts you send me directly.

Information collected automatically

  • Website analytics. This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, for example which pages are viewed, how long visits last, the general location (city/region), device and browser type, and how visitors found the site. When a form is submitted, the fact that an enquiry was made (not its contents) is also recorded so I can see which pages are most helpful. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies; it does not give me your name or email address.
  • Server logs and cookies used by the website platform to keep the site working, secure and remember your preferences.

I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

2. How I use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide the real estate services you request (for example arranging showings, preparing a home evaluation, or advising on a purchase, sale or lease).
  • To send listing alerts or updates you have signed up for.
  • To meet my legal, regulatory and brokerage record-keeping obligations.
  • To understand and improve how the website works and which content is useful.
  • With your consent, to send you occasional real estate news, market updates or other marketing messages. You can unsubscribe at any time (see section 6).

I will not sell or rent your personal information.

3. When information is shared

I share personal information only as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law:

  • My brokerage, Re/Max Premier Inc. Brokerage International, which supervises my work and is required to keep transaction records.
  • Service providers that help me run this website and my business, under confidentiality obligations — including myRealPage (website hosting, forms and listing search), Google (website analytics), and my email marketing service provider (to send newsletters and updates to people who have subscribed). Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada (for example in the United States), where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
  • Other parties to a real estate transaction, such as co-operating brokerages, lawyers, lenders, home inspectors or appraisers, only when you ask me to proceed and only what is needed for the transaction.
  • Where required or permitted by law, for example to comply with a court order or regulatory request.

4. Consent

By submitting a form, creating an account or contacting me, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting me (section 8). If you withdraw consent, I may not be able to provide some services.

5. Cookies and analytics choices

You can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies; some parts of the site may not work as well if you do. To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

6. Email and marketing messages

I send email newsletters, market updates, new listings and other real estate information to people who have agreed to receive them, or where CASL otherwise permits it (for example, for a limited time after you make an enquiry or complete a transaction with me).

  • Every marketing email identifies me, includes my contact information, and includes an easy way to unsubscribe.
  • I will act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing me.
  • Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not stop messages I need to send you about an active transaction or service you have asked for.
  • My email service provider may record whether marketing emails are opened and which links are clicked, so I can make my emails more useful.

7. Retention and security

I keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law and brokerage rules, then securely delete or destroy it. I use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

8. Your rights and how to contact me

You may ask to access the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask questions or make a complaint about how it is handled. Please contact me:

9. Links to other websites

This website links to other sites, including listing data provided through the MLS® system, RankMyAgent, Instagram and LinkedIn. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.

10. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed.

This website may only be used by consumers that have a bona fide interest in the purchase, sale, or lease of real estate of the type being offered via the website. The data relating to real estate on this website comes in part from the MLS® Reciprocity program of the PropTx MLS®. The data is deemed reliable but is not guaranteed to be accurate.
